I build the apps I wish existed.
I’m Hieu, an independent maker from Vietnam. When a tool is too slow, too clunky, or missing the one thing I need, I make my own version. Then I keep only the features I actually use.
Mostly Mac apps and developer tools. Lately, a few small games.
Work
Continuo AvailableOne keyboard and trackpad, every Mac on your desk.I love Apple’s trackpad gestures, and no app I tried, free or paid, carried them across Macs. They lagged and were a pain to connect, too.Tattle Open sourceFind which app, or which browser tab, is making noise on your Mac.Too many YouTube tabs, and headless game tests making sound with no window to close. Other apps were paid or full of EQs I don’t need.
Query Pilot LabA database IDE for everyday dev work, and for agents.I love TablePlus, but it’s pricey and misses what I need daily, like quick search. And my workflow is a bit odd.- Games & experiments LabSmall prototypes, built for fun while I learn game dev.Nothing public yet.
How I build
- Scratch my own itch
- Every project starts with something that annoyed me enough to fix. I use it daily, so I know what it needs.
- Fast and natural
- Instant response, input that feels native, no fiddly setup.
- Only what matters
- Build what I need, skip what I don’t. Less to learn, less to break.
